By creating an account or otherwise using StudyMate AI (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• If you sign in with Google, your access is also governed by Google's own terms of service.
• You must be old enough to consent to use of an online educational service in your jurisdiction, or have a parent or guardian's permission to do so.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the right to share, including copyrighted material beyond personal study use.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or unlawful content.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the Service.

Textbooks, past papers and other reference material made available through the Service remain the property of their respective publishers and exam boards; StudyMate AI does not claim ownership of this material and provides it for personal study purposes only.

Content you generate through the Service — your practice answers, chat messages and uploaded files — remains yours. By uploading content, you grant StudyMate AI a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

AI-generated practice questions, model answers and marking feedback are provided for study purposes and may occasionally contain errors — they are not a substitute for official exam board mark schemes or teacher guidance.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed or removed over time, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

The Service, including all AI-generated content, is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that practice questions, marking, or any other output will be error-free, complete, or a guarantee of exam performance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudyMate AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content or marking.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
